Nimesulide Combination

The generic Nimesulide combination is manufactured by 399 companies and has nearly 522 Brands of Generics of Nimesulide.

Nimesulide is a Non steroidal anti inflammatory drug (NSAID) and targets COX-2 an enzyme responsible for inflammation & pain.

The Nimesulide is preferably used in the composition in an amount of 0.1-5% by weight, more preferably in an amount of 0.1-3% by weight, most preferably in an amount of around 1 % by weight of the composition.

Nimesulide tablet for headache


Postoperative headache may be caused by hypoglycemia and/or dehydration due to prolonged fasting, caffeine withdrawal, anxiety, and can be associated with preexisting migraine or headache.

NSAIDs- Nimesulide, is the first line pharmacological approaches to postoperative headache.

Nimesulide gives rapid onset of pharmacological action, good pain relief and stable effect for many hours is an ideal drug for postoperative headache with no contraindications.

It is also used for the treatment of acute musculoskeletal disorders including tendonitis, tenosynovitis, sprains, strains and low back pain, ear, nose and throat disorders, acute pain, osteoarthritis, primarydysmenorrhoea.

Nimesulide is available in various forms including tablets, suppositories, water-soluble powders, and topical gels.

The maximum duration of a treatment course with Nimesulide is 15 days.
