Nimesulide Tablet Dosage

The main purpose of Nimesulide tablets is for the treatment of painful inflammatory conditions, back pain, dysmenorrhea, postoperative pain, osteoarthritis, and fever.
The usual dose is 100mg twice a day.
Children: 5mg/kg of body weight in 2 or 3 divided doses.
The minimum effective dose should be used for the shortest duration to reduce the undesirable effects.
The maximum duration of a treatment course with Nimesulide is 15 days.
Nimesulide 100mg Tablets/granules should be used for the shortest possible duration, as required by the clinical situation.
Adults:
100mg bid after meal.
Elderly:
In elderly patients there is no need to reduce the daily dosage
Children (< 12 years):
Nimesulide 100mg Tablets/granules is contraindicated in these patients.
Adolescents (from 12 to 18 years):
on the basis of the kinetic profile in adults and on the pharmacodynamic characteristics of nimesulide, no dosage adjustment in these patients is necessary.
Oral dosage form prescribed for the shortest duration
In adults:100 mg In children: 5 mg/kg/day in 2 or 3 divided doses.
Nimesulide has superior gastrointestinal safety as compared to other NSAIDs. Its multifactorial mode of action gives it a unique and broad action on inflammatory processes.
Nimesulide tablet prevents cancer by inhibiting the proliferation of various types of cancer cells mainly via COX-2 independent mechanisms. It is also used for dry skin, to improve skin-tone,and to increase energy.
Nimesulide treatment also brought about an immediate and significant improvement in over-all pain, exudation, oedema and headache.

Nimesulide for instant pain relief

Pain relief drug nimesulide which shows the instant pain relief from acute pain (short-term pain)within 15 minitues of drug intake for the acute pain.
Nimesulide is a prescription-only drug and must be prescribed by a licensed physician after careful evaluation of the patient’s characteristics and needs.
It must be used under supervision by a doctor in accordance with the approved indications and in compliance with the recommendations .The overall safety profile of nimesulide is in line with that of all other NSAIDs. As with all drugs, it must be used in the most appropriate way to guarantee its best therapeutic value.
Clinical studies have been carried out in a wide variety of acute inflammatory and painful conditions with the aim of evaluating the analgesic activity of nimesulide in comparison to placebo and to some of the most common NSAIDs.
In these studies, it is observed that the efficacy of nimesulide was consistently superior to placebo with a particularly fast onset of the analgesic in action.
