The European Medicines Agency has completed a review of the safety and
effectiveness of medicines containing nimesulide (capsules,
tablets, suppositories and powder or granules for oral suspension).
It has concluded that NImesulide has great benefits for the treatment of acute pain and primary dysmenorrhoea. It issued a recommendation that it shouldbe used for the shortest duration (<15days)
It is also used for dry skin and skin tome
