The abilities of NSAID’s drug nimesulide to inhibit COX-2 preferentially and to exert
other novel anti-inflammatory actions are consistent with good efficacy
and safety and is consistently superior to placebo.
Nimesulide has proven that it gives rapid pain relief with its analgesic activity which shows relief from pain relief and inflammation within 15 minutes from drug intake.
As for other NSAIDs the use of nimesulide is recommended for the shortest duration necessary to control symptoms in patients with acute pain or primary dysmenorrhoea.
