Nimesulide 100mg Therapeutic indications:
- Treatment of acute pain
- Symptomatic treatment of painful osteoarthritis (pain and swelling of joints)
- Primary dysmenorrhoea.
Nimesulide
is available in the market in various forms including tablets
(100 mg), granules for oral suspension (100 mg), suppositories (200
mg) and gel (3%).
How It Works:
Nimesulide belongs to a class of medications
called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) which works by
blocking the production of prostaglandins (a chemical associated with
pain) thereby relieving pain and inflammation.
The maximum duration of a treatment course with
Nimesulide is 15 days. Nimesulide 100mg Tablets/granules should be
used for the shortest possible duration.
Nimesulide 100mg is Indicated in reducing pain,
fever and inflammatory symptoms of:
- Chronic arthritis (long-term disease)
- Osteo arthritis (joint-pains)
- Otorhinolary diseases (ear, nose and throat)
- Soft tissues and oral cavity inflammation
- Dysmenorrhoea (period pains)
- Thrombosis (clotting of blood in circulatory system)
- Urogenital disease (urinary and genital organs.)
- Postoperative pain states (pain after surgery)
- Sports injuries
Nimesulide 100mg is also proved to be safe in
asthmatic patients. It is reported to be beneficial in relieving the
symptoms of rhinitis (inflammation of mucous membrane inside nose),
cold.
Nimesulide dose should be taken by prescription of physician and doctor which will help to take proper dose for good result.
