Nimesulide dosage to reduce pain

Nimesulide treats post-traumatic inflammation, acute musculoskeletal disorders and osteoarthritis (joint pains).
It is available with the dosage of 100 mg for the tablets, and 100 mg for granules for oral suspension, 200 mg for the suppositories and 3% of gel.
Nimesulide tablet is recommended for the shortest duration. The maximum duration and dose of a treatment course with nimesulide is 15 days, 100 mg twice a day, to minimize the risk of hepatotoxicity.
Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which acts as a cyclooxygenase- 2 inhibitor – Nimesulide has multi factorial approach for the treatment of for the treatment of post-traumatic inflammation, acute musculoskeletal disorders including sprains, strains, tendinitis, tenosynovitis, low back pain, periarthritis (shoulder pain) and osteoarthritis (joint pains), stiffness.
Its multifactorial mode of action gives it a unique and broad action on inflammatory processes.
The maximum duration recommended to be used is 15 days and dose required for the treatment 100 mg twice a day, to minimize the risk of hepatotoxicity.

It has low gastro-intestinal and renal toxicity. with analgesic and antipyretic properties.
